Prime members can get daily essentials such as coffee, batteries and nappies, as well as other popular items like games consoles, toys and sports equipment, delivered right to their door in an hour or less. Operations is at the heart of Amazon customer experience. Each action we undertake is done on behalf of our customers, as meeting their expectations makes us feel good. The Operations teams in our Fulfilment Centers are responsible for teams controlling the vast range of fast-paced inventory from inbound to outbound and work very hard to ensure that our customers receive what they want, when they want it. As an Area Manager for Amazon Fresh, you will be responsible for small and agile teams. You and your team ensure that the workflow runs smoothly so that all customer wishes are met. You will always focus on achieving our most important goals: safety, employee engagement, quality, customer experience, productivity, while driving constant improvement of our processes. Cross-team coordination, project management and executive presentation skills are preferred. Although this is a supervisory position, it is still very much a hands-on role and you will be expected to be involved in the day-to-day operations. This role is located in the west region of Singapore. The ideal candidate will be highly analytical with proven experience driving process improvement, team leadership, and delivering results. Responsibilities include: Managing processes and analysis in a highly dynamic environment Lead and manage teams within a fast-paced environment. Strategic planning and forecasting; appraise performance; reward and discipline employees; resolve problems; and address staffing needs. Drive safety programs and compliance to safety regulations to ensure a safe work environment and promote a positive health and safety culture Proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives and Lean tools Develop operational expertise on processes and activities, ensuring that best practice is shared within the network. Drive appropriate employee engagement programs for talent management and people development Mentor, train and develop teammates for career progression and learning BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience 1+ years of employee and performance management experience Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
