We are seeking an experienced proposal developer to join our bid management team in Singapore.

As a technical lead, you will develop proposals for Siemens Energy customers and clients by reviewing client requests and performing equipment selections using company or other engineering tools to develop the most optimized solution(s).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop proposals as a technical lead for Siemens Energy customer/client base, reviewing client requests and performing equipment selections.
  • Prepare outside purchase equipment RFQs and work with regional/global supply chain managers to engage and align for a compliant offer.
  • Lead overall cost integration and analysis with consideration for technical and commercial risk assessment prior to arriving at final pricing.
  • Assist sales managers in developing technical and commercial strategies for successful order capture and participate in value proposition development.
  • Follow the RFQ to Order process and its pre-established gates/screens including order entry and handover to Operations for successful execution.

Requirements:

  • Mechanical Engineering or other engineering degree from an accredited higher education institution.
  • Experience in rotating equipment such as gas turbines, steam turbines, centrifugal compressors, centrifugal pumps, motors, etc., in design, application engineering, front-end/detail engineering, or installation and commissioning.
  • Combined cycle design experience for modules or power plants is an added advantage.
  • Team player with excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
  • Domestic and international travel required for training, project presentations, bid clarification, and project kick-off meetings.
