Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure and maintain Unix/Linux servers (RHEL). ","
  • Manage, provision and support VMware vSphere environments, including ESXi hosts and vCenter. ","
  • Perform system monitoring, performance tuning and capacity planning. ","
  • Implement and maintain system security, patching and compliance in line with CIS benchmarks. ","
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software and networking issues, including application-to-database connectivity problems. ","
  • File system and storage management. Manage disk partitioning and logical volume management (LVM), including resizing and splitting mount points. ","
  • Automate routine tasks using shell scripting (Bash, Perl, Python) or configuration management tools. ","
  • Maintain backup and disaster recovery procedures for Unix and VMware systems. ","
  • Collaborate with application teams to support deployments, upgrades and system migrations. ","

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field. ","
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Unix/Linux system administration. ","
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with VMware vSphere, ESXi and vCenter. ","
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, NFS etc.). ","
  • Experience with storage systems (SAN/NAS) and backup solutions. ","
  • Familiarity with ITIL practices and change management processes. ","
