About the Department Group Technology and Operations (GTO) provides software and system development, information technology support services and banking operations. Job Responsibilities Position Overview The Head of Structured Trade Operation Control will oversee the day-to-day operations that support Structured Trade Commodity Finance business covering Singapore, Hong-Kong and China market. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily operations of the department, ensuring efficient processes and high-quality delivery. Manage execution and monitoring of structured trade transactions, ensuring compliance with established department procedures and other Bank's policies, guidelines, regulatory, governance, AML/CFT procedures, and Industry Best Practices. Collaborate with stakeholders to implement robust support for new products and services, facilitating smooth integration into existing processes. Develop and execute strategic initiatives that drive operational effectiveness to increase productivity, support business growth, and ensure business continuity planning. Provide leadership in the implementation of key operational and business initiatives to enhance overall performance. Manage and monitor the annual budget for the department, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and operational requirements. Conduct performance management reviews to assess team performance, set objectives, and identify areas of improvement. Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for business objectives. Identify potential risks within department processes and implement measures to mitigate them. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in finance, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree preferred. Minimum 20 years of experience in Structured Trade Middle Office or similar roles within the financial services sector, with at least 5 to 10 years of experience in leadership and project management. Strong knowledge in Trade Finance technical aspects, familiar with UCP, ISBP, URC URR, ISP, URDG, MAS/ABS Guidelines, and experience in all areas of international trade. Strong understanding of Structured Trade middle office functions and processes, with good knowledge of commodities preferred. Proven track record in managing teams and cross-functional projects. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
