Software Development Engineer for Vision Systems

We are seeking an experienced software engineer to join our team, responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications for vision systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field, with expertise in programming languages such as C# and WPF.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop PC-based automated visual inspection systems for semiconductor equipment.
  • Evaluate and conduct a feasibility study on customer's vision specifications.
  • Responsible for integrating new vision hardware into the vision software.
  • Troubleshoot and improve the processing time of the inspection.
  • Provide technical support to internal and external customers to fulfill inspection requirements.
  • Change the vision inspection algorithm to improve inspection capabilities and performance.
  • Be the key driver for continuous improvement plans for new and existing inspection capabilities.
  • Coordinate with customers for new enquiries with sales personnel if needed.
  • Work closely with the vision application and optics team members to produce the best inspection result.

Requirements:

  • BS Science Diploma or higher in electrical and electronic, mechanical, or mechatronics engineering, or related technical discipline or equivalent practical experience.
  • Technical troubleshooting experience.
  • Minimum 3 years in the related field.
  • Relevant technical work experience, including automation machine system troubleshooting.
  • Experience working with end customers.
  • Understanding semiconductor manufacturing process, vision inspection settings, machine software settings, and configuration or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 3+ years of experience in software development with C#, WPF, Image Processing, Halcon (bonus).
