Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Research Engineer to join the Optical Bioimaging Lab. The candidates will be primarily responsible for developing the user interface for an advanced light-sheet microscopy system.

The role involves the development of software for system control, image acquisition, image processing, and image rendering. The successful candidate will work in a multidisciplinary team and contribute to high-impact research and industry projects aimed at enhancing imaging speed, resolution, and stability.

  • Assist to develop instrument control and imaging software for real-time operation and data acquisition.
  • Assist the team in system calibration, benchmarking, and iterative refinement based on user feedback and test data.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including industry partners, biomedical researchers, and engineers, to define requirements and ensure deliverable quality.
  • Contribute to scientific publications, patent applications, and conference presentations.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Possess a Bachelor or master's degree in Optical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Computer science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related fields.

Skilled in MATLAB/LabVIEW/Python programming for instrument control, image acquisition and processing.

Good communication and presentation skills.

Open to fixed-term contract.
