Job Description:

We are currently recruiting an Assistant Manager to join the Research Achievements, Impact and Strategic Enhancement (RAISE) Unit at Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine.

The RAISE Unit is a new unit established to develop strategies for enhancing the research impact, visibility, and reputation of LKC Medicine institutionally, nationally, and internationally.

You will be part of a dynamic team that highlights and reports on the school's research impact and achievements. You will work with other departments including the Faculty, Finance, Office of Innovation and Enterprise (OIE), and Office of Patient Engagement (OPEN).

Responsibilities:
  • Data Collection: Design, implement, and maintain web crawlers to extract publication data from online sources.
  • Work with APIs to collect and process data where web crawling is not feasible.
  • Track research output metrics for analysis purposes.
  • Organize research programme meetings, including arranging dates, collating agendas, and writing minutes.
  • Liaise with research programme directors to consolidate research achievements for reporting.
  • Consolidate updates from the RAISE Unit, including media releases, publication updates, awards, and achievements.
  • Produce PowerPoint slide decks for management presentations and reporting purposes.
  • Prepare the Dean's Management Report (quarterly) and the annual report.
  • Manage internal grants, including post-grant operations such as account creation and closure.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor Degree / Diploma in Computing, Sciences, or Business Administration.
  • Preferably more than 5 years of experience working with large datasets in research, business intelligence, or analytics.
  • Knowledge and experience in programming languages such as Python.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and optimize web crawling performance.
  • Experience in designing visuals, infographics, and creating professional PowerPoint slides.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially MS Powerpoint and MS Excel.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Meticulous, positive attitude, and ability to multitask under pressure.
About the Role:

This is a 2-year contract appointment. As Assistant Manager, you will play a vital role in driving the research impact and achievements of LKC Medicine.
