IB English Literature Educator

Singapore EI STUDY PTE. LTD. Full time

We celebrate cultural diversity and global perspectives. We are looking for an IB English Literature educator to inspire students with the richness of world literature.
Teaching duties
Teach IB English Literature at both MYP and DP levels.
Expose students to a variety of genres, authors, and cultural contexts in literature.
Train students in analytical writing and critical thinking within English Literature.
Guide students through internal and external IB assessment requirements.
Contribute to curriculum enrichment activities in literature and the arts.
Non-teaching duties
Participate in professional duties as necessary outside of the scope of the school day (e.g. Field trips, professional development on weekends as needed, and after school meetings as required)
Supervise duties at break/lunch and/or other unstructured times
Lead/coach an after school CCA (co-curricular activity)
Assist in internal sub coverage according to department needs
Requirements
Degree in English, Literature or a related field.
Proven teaching experience in IB English Literature.
Ability to connect literature to contemporary issues and student experiences.
Strong interpersonal and mentoring abilities.
