Job Overview
The Building Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and maintenance of a condominium or building complex. This role ensures that the property is well maintained, residents' needs are met, and the property adheres to applicable laws and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage upkeep of the building, including common areas, facilities, and landscaping, ensuring all areas are safe and well-maintained.
- Prepare and manage the annual budget for building operations, ensuring financial efficiency.
- Serve as main point of contact for stakeholders, addressing their concerns and coordinating with the MCST council on issues affecting the community.
- Negotiate and oversee contracts with vendors for services such as security, cleaning, and landscaping.
- Ensure building operations comply with local laws and regulations, including safety standards and building codes.
- Develop and implement emergency procedures and promptly manage and respond to emergencies.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in real estate management, business administration, or related field.
- Relevant certifications from institutions like SISV, BCA, or equivalent.
- Experience in property management, particularly in strata-living contexts, with a minimum of five years experience.
- Familiarity with regulations governing MCSTs, e.g., BMSMA.
- Competence in property management software and office applications.
