RESPONSIBLITIES The role will play a supporting role in activities surrounding the Commercial Operations and Trading for the Company's vessels including both time-chartered and spot voyage-chartered vessels. Comprehend the commercial terms in BMICO shipping contracts or Charter Parties. Develop a broad base understanding of commercial shipping and the operational work‐flow from the fixture to the delivery or discharge of each cargo based on the agreed terms. Coordinate internally to ensure that new counterparties are cleared by the vetting team of risk exposure before engagement. Support the Trading team to ensure that fulfilment of customers' requirements and that all Charter Parties agreements are drafted in‐line with finalised agreements based on recaps and executed timely by all parties. Liaise with all stakeholders to ensure the smooth the requirements of the Charter Parties are met, including completion of questionnaire, monitoring vessel movements, weather patterns, shipping routes, instructions to masters, bunker and agent nomination, port clearance, advisory to Charterers and other administrative duties. Apply relevant BIMCO clauses to ensure that Company's rights are safe‐guarded during disputes to facilitate timely settlement of claims. Provide timely updates on the Voyage Management System with close monitoring of vessel operational cost and ensure reasonable judgement in managing the vessel Profit & Loss for each voyage.
