Audio and Lighting Systems Installation Specialist

Job Summary:

As an Audio and Lighting Systems Installation Specialist, you will be responsible for setting up, configuring, and testing complex audio and lighting systems for various events, rehearsals, and live productions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Operations: Collaborate with sales, project managers, and other stakeholders during the proposal and planning stages to ensure seamless event execution.
  • System Installation: Set up, configure, and test professional audio and stage lighting systems including mixers, speakers, amplifiers, microphones, lighting consoles, DMX-controlled fixtures, and more to guarantee high-quality performances.
  • Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Maintain strict adherence to safety standards and industry regulations in all technical operations. Diagnose and repair faults in audio/lighting systems to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.

Main Responsibilities:

The Audio and Lighting Systems Installation Specialist will be responsible for the following main responsibilities:

AUDIO AND LIGHTING SYSTEMS INSTALLATION

  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot professional audio and stage lighting systems for various events, rehearsals, and live productions.
  • Diagnose and repair faults in audio/lighting systems to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
  • Perform routine maintenance and updates to hardware and software components to ensure optimal system performance.

TECHNICAL SUPPORT AND TRAINING

  • Provide on-site technical support during installations and performances to address any issues promptly.
  • Maintain detailed records of system configurations and equipment inventories for efficient referencing.
  • Train end-users and venue staff on the use of installed systems to enhance their technical expertise.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess a Diploma in Audio Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Technical Theater, or related field, as well as at least 4 years of relevant experience with professional audio and stage lighting systems. Key qualifications include proficiency with analog and digital audio consoles (e.g., Yamaha, Allen & Heath, Soundcraft) and familiarity with lighting control systems (e.g., MA Lighting, ETC, Avolites). Additional requirements include understanding of signal flow, gain structure, and system calibration, as well as knowledge of networking protocols for AV systems (Dante, Art-Net, DMX, etc.).
