Job Description
We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Quantity Surveyor . As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for analyzing blueprints and technical documents to prepare quantity take-off and cost estimation, ensuring timely and accurate quotations.
You will communicate with clients and vendors for tender clarifications and parts information, promoting effective collaboration. Your role will also involve reviewing and verifying quotations and illustrations before submission, guaranteeing compliance and accuracy.
Maintaining updated price lists and catalogues for components is essential to ensure seamless operations. You will meet with clients for tender clarifications as needed, fostering strong relationships. Additionally, you will promote proper documentation and record-keeping practices within the team.
Providing recommendations and reports to departmental managers on policy non-conformities, supporting continuous improvement, is a critical aspect of this role. You will also avoid and report any undesirable transactions or dealings related to quotations, maintaining integrity.
Other ad-hoc duties assigned by management may be required, demonstrating adaptability and teamwork.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in Quantity Surveying is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is essential.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills are required.
- Meticulousness, responsibility, and ability to meet deadlines are crucial.
- The ideal candidate should be self-driven, independent, and a team player.
