
Construction Industry HR Manager

Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all stages of the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance reviews and employee engagement. This involves managing employee records, employment agreements and HR guidelines.
In addition to these core responsibilities, the individual will lead and support staff development programs, workshops and skill-building efforts. They will also administer payroll, manage employee benefits and handle other HR-related duties.
An essential aspect of this role is acting as a trusted advisor to senior management, offering strategic HR guidance to drive organizational growth. This includes handling applications and renewals of company certifications such as ISO, GGBS and others.
The HR Manager will supervise day-to-day office operations, including purchasing, facility upkeep and IT coordination. Effective internal communication is crucial to ensure seamless business processes across departments.
To achieve these objectives, the successful candidate must maintain up-to-date knowledge of labor laws, regulations and industry best practices. They will develop and implement effective HR strategies to achieve business objectives, conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to employees.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related discipline
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in HR and administrative functions within the construction sector
- Solid understanding of human resources principles, employment laws and regulatory standards
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization
- Skilled with MS Office applications and HR software, including payroll systems
- Knowledgeable in budgeting, office infrastructure and facility oversight
