Tender Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tender Manager to lead our tender process from pre-qualification to final submission. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering or a related discipline, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical/M&E tendering within the construction industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the complete tender process, including reviewing tender specifications, project drawings, and contract terms.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical and commercial proposals, ensuring all submission requirements are met.
  • Coordinate with internal departments, including Engineering, Finance, Legal, and Procurement, to gather necessary inputs.
  • Develop competitive cost estimates and bid pricing strategies, incorporating accurate assessments of materials, labor, and overhead.
  • Attend site visits, pre-bid meetings, and liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and relevant authorities.
  • Conduct contract risk analysis and identify cost-saving opportunities or alternative methods.
  • Ensure all tenders comply with local legal, regulatory, and safety requirements.
  • Maintain proper documentation and records of all submissions and communications.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to management to enhance bid success rates.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in electrical/M&E tendering within the construction industry.
  • Prior experience handling LTA tenders is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost estimation, and tendering procedures.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and tendering software (AutoCAD knowledge is a plus).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and time management skills.
  • Able to work under pressure and manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
