About the Role As the Category Analyst you will be part of the TPC Networks Sourcing team and will report to the Category Director within Networks. You will work closely with Telenor Group functions and all of the Business Units. The objective of this position is to perform analysis to support category strategy, demand management, managing the category targets, analysing and using benchmarking tools actively to ensure category and business performance. Your role is pivotal in identifying and realizing cost saving initiatives that deliver real business value in the category across all of Telenor’s Business Units. Main tasks Gathers, interprets, and uses complex data to develop meaningful insights and opportunities that assist in negotiations with Suppliers. Perform benchmarks across suppliers and suggest methods to decrease expenditure. Perform Sourcing diagnostics and assist in preparing and implementing the category strategy. Create and maintain database summarizing Purchase orders from Telenor Business units. Participate & execute sourcing projects at global level with participants from the Business Units ensuing a strong collaboration with the User departments to reduce the procurement cycle time. Develop and prepare periodic reports and analysis on all procurement activities. Identify and realize cost saving initiatives in the procurement of equipment and services Follow-up with the Business Units on contract management requirements, PO reporting, validations, and savings calculations. Participate in negotiations and ensure delivery of targets. Prepare financial comparisons of supplier bids in the RFQs. Maintain an awareness of relevant and latest Sourcing and Procurement guidelines. Identify, analyse, and develop vendor markets. Covering ad hoc requests to answer questions of stakeholders. Profile To be successful in this role you should be a professional eager to develop yourself within strategic sourcing. You should have an academic understanding of strategic sourcing and category management as well as spend analysis. The ideal candidate should enjoy and be proficient in MS excel to analyse, Price Books data and stakeholder management, having insight into data analytics tools like Power BI, Tableau etc would be preferred. To enjoy this role and succeed in it you would need to be/have: Have strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities. Be proficient in using analytical tools such as MS Excel, Power BI, Thinkcell, MS Access etc. and be open minded to explore new tools and techniques. Be fluent in preparing and presenting analysis and benchmarks in a crisp and understandable way. Modelling pricing structure, normalize and negotiate during sourcing process. Knowledgeable about Baselining, calculating TCO, NPV and other savings methodologies. Business knowledge in telecommunications landscape. Insight into end-to-end Sourcing process. Strong ability to communicate and interact effectively (verbal, presentation, facilitation & listening modes of communication) across organizational and cultural boundaries, internal and external. Result oriented, demonstrating excellent collaboration abilities. Able to work with a high degree of execution power and passion. Understand the vendor market. Demonstrate commitment, maturity, flexibility and speed in response to business and challenges. Possess Commercial and negotiation skills. Highly creative and innovate mindset. Knowledge of sourcing techniques and demand management & demand forecasting methods. Familiar with contract setup activities such as specification definition, contract terms and conditions setup. High level of integrity and ethics. Qualification And Experience Requirements Bachelor’s degree in technology, Computer Science, Finance or Business or equivalent Fresh graduates can apply, however experience in a procurement / contract management / vendor management role will be considered beneficial. Good analytical skills with experience collecting, organizing, analyzing, and disseminating abundant information with accuracy. Strong proficiency of MS Excel, performing data analyses and co-relation using and processing tools, e.g. ThinkCell, Excel, Power BI or Tableau to be able to produce and draw conclusions based on the analysis. Ability to analyse price books in excel with massive data (e.g. several thousand line items). Good verbal, written, and visual communication skills. Proficiency in presentation tools, such as MS Powerpoint is preferred. Experience from telecommunication sourcing will be plus for candidate. #J-18808-Ljbffr
