Job Description
Responsible for conducting service and repair work according to manufacturer guidelines and reporting to the workshop foreman for technical assistance.
Perform diagnostics, repairs, and overhauls of engines, transmissions, components, electrical, and fuel systems.
Report to the workshop foreman about parts unavailability and technical issues requiring external support.
Write concise reports on the repair jobs performed.
Report to the workshop foreman upon job completion, collect the next work order, and clock in/out accordingly; clarify doubts with the foreman as needed.
Initiate troubleshooting processes to support the workshop foreman in handling customer complaints.
Clock in and out diligently to ensure productivity, efficiency, and utilization are recorded accurately.
Ensure workshop time recordings strictly adhere to manufacturer's repair times.
Ensure customer concerns are addressed with a focus on "Fix It Right the First Time".
Maintain the quality of service and repair work to achieve workshop CSI targets.
Properly maintain all equipment and special tools.
Follow and comply with workshop safety procedures.
Maintain safety, order, and tidiness in the work bay.
Comply with factory warranty guidelines on warranty claim procedures.
Assist Workshop Manager, Assistant Workshop Manager, Workshop Executive, Job Controller, Foreman & Technical Executive with any ad hoc tasks.
Job Requirements
Minimum NTC 2 or Nitec in automotive-related courses or GCE 'O' Level and/or equivalent.
At least 3 years of relevant automotive industry experience.
Hands-on experience in vehicle diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs using diagnostic or special tools.
Knowledge of electrical wiring diagrams and electronics in an automotive context.
