Production Trainee Position

This is a trainee role that involves production preparation, packaging, and quality control.

  • Support the overall production process by assisting in labelling, filling, and moving products.
  • Maintain working areas to ensure proper machine condition and asset care.
  • Manage documentation, recording, updating, issuing, and maintaining pre-weight documents for goods handover to the warehouse.
  • Contribute to internal and external audits for ISO compliance through documentation and record-keeping.
  • Source raw materials, send email enquiries, and procure alternative sources when necessary.
  • Offer guidance and coaching to new employees.
  • Create purchase requisitions for raw materials and collaborate with management to plan production schedules.
  • Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) for production operators, work environment, and manufacturing processes.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Learn from preparation and understand production operation flow.
  • Assist colleagues in completing daily output.
  • Develop, update, and maintain SAP systems.
  • Provide feedback and suggestions during or after monthly staff meetings.
  • Undertake additional projects and assignments as instructed by management and directors.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree in Engineering Chemistry or related field (an advantage).
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in manufacturing.
  • Independent thinker with objective decision-making skills.
  • Will to learn new things and hands-on approach.
  • Excellent communication skills for training and coaching team members and handling client/associate queries.
  • Familiarity with ISO 14001, ISO 9001, and ISO an advantage).
  • Basic computer literacy.
