The NUS Office of Alumni Relations (OAR) fosters a lifelong relationship between the National University of Singapore (NUS) and its alumni. Job Description
You will play a pivotal role in planning, organizing, and executing a diverse range of University-level events that engage our NUS alumni community. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, exceptional organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute a variety of alumni events and activities, including forums, golf tournaments, Homecoming, and reunions.
- Collaborate and work cross-functionally with key NUS departments to ensure that events align with broader University goals and deliver measurable outcomes.
- Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficient use of resources.
- Source, negotiate with and manage vendors for event-related services and oversee all logistical aspects of assigned events.
- Evaluate events through feedback and data analysis to drive continuous improvement.
- Prepare and present regular reports to management, offering insights and recommendations for further improvement.
- Any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Marketing, or a related field.
- At least 5 – 7 years’ proven experience in events planning and management.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong project management and vendor management skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet moving deadlines.
- Proactive, has high levels of resilience and drive, and is adaptable to changes.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills and can analyse and synthesise information.
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends or travel internationally as required.
