This is an excellent opportunity for a legally qualified professional qualified in England, Singapore, or another common law jurisdiction, to build a rewarding career within a globally recognised P&I Club. You will manage your own portfolio of claims, ensuring that each case is handled efficiently, accurately, and in accordance with established best practices. Open to applications from Qualified people from other Marine Insurers and those who are willing to relocate to Singapore. Key Responsibilities Manage and progress own caseload of claims in line with the company's Claims Procedures Manual. Identify and report claims trends to the Head of Claims – Singapore, Underwriters, and the Loss Prevention team. Draft and issue written notifications for large or complex claims. Share knowledge and contribute to best practice discussions across the Claims team. Participate actively in training and professional development activities. Collaborate with Underwriters to identify, develop, and retain business for the mutual benefit of the Club. Support or lead ad-hoc projects as required by the Head of Claims Singapore or Claims Managers. Experience & Qualifications Legally qualified in England, Singapore, or another common law jurisdiction (essential). Minimum 3 years' experience within a P&I or Defence Club environment (preferred). Strong understanding of shipping law and its practical application to marine insurance and claims. Familiarity with the International Group of P&I Clubs, its objectives, structure, and approach to claims handling. Experience working with correspondents, lawyers, and experts, as well as managing litigation, arbitration, mediation, or negotiated settlements.
