Profile: Youth Worker (Part-Time)Contract Period: 2 January 2026 – 31 December 2026Working Hours Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (inclusive of 1-hour lunch break)No claim for lunch break. During school holidays, actual working days will be informed by the Vice-Principal. No service required on Saturdays, Sundays, and gazetted public holidays. Exact schedule to be confirmed upon award of contract. May be required to report for additional ad-hoc sessions with at least 48 hours' notice. Estimated total: 875 hours Scope of Servicesa) Outreach and Engagement Build positive relationships with identified students during and/or outside curriculum hours. Engage and connect with higher-needs students in community settings beyond school grounds. Equip and motivate students to develop socio-emotional skills and resilience. Conduct emotional management workshops to help students manage emotions effectively. Empower students with opportunities to contribute meaningfully to the school and community. Collaborate with school staff to design and implement programmes for high-needs students. b) Case Management and Family Engagement Provide case planning, management, and counselling support tailored to student and family needs. Conduct family engagement activities such as family sessions, phone contact, or home visits in alignment with student needs. c) Assessment and Student Identification Observe and identify student needs using screening tools when necessary. Discuss identified student needs and intervention plans with relevant school personnel (e.g. Student Management Team, school leaders). d) School Collaboration Co-create and run after-school engagement programmes for students requiring supervision. Foster school connectedness and belonging through SPACE Room activities. Provide updates and feedback on student progress to school personnel. Support and advise teachers on student needs and behavioural challenges. e) Social Work Intervention (for Identified Students)Conduct hands-on, class-based programmes such as The Scaffold Programme to develop socio-emotional skills, confidence, and self-leadership. Enable students to apply their learning across home, school, and community contexts to improve relationships and belonging. Qualifications and Skills Qualifications: Degree in Social Work or equivalent qualifications/experience in Youth Work . Skills and Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in social work, youth work, or related fields. Strong skills in rapport building, interpersonal interaction, problem-solving , and programme facilitation . Experience designing and conducting group guidance programmes for students. Competent in engaging parents, school staff, and community stakeholders . Bilingual proficiency preferred. Personnel must be contracted by an MSF-appointed Integrated Service Provider for school social work (with supporting documents in GeBIZ). #J-18808-Ljbffr
