Dow Consumer Solutions – ASEAN ANZ TS&D Technician role based in Singapore. The role provides lab testing support for Dow Performance products for Building and Infrastructure (B&I) with secondary support to other Dow markets.
Responsibilities
Support TS&D professionals to collect and analyze lab experimental data in a safe and timely manner.
Operate construction lab equipment (e.g., Instron, sealant mixing pump, aging chambers, dispensing guns). Keep records of customer samples. Perform application testing independently for silicone sealants. Support PMS‐related lab work to ensure timely technical service to Façade and other B&I applications.
Support formulation mixing when required, carry out characterizations using analytical equipment, and create test reports by summarizing data.
Participate in lab management tasks: ensure 5S cleanliness, comply with chemical storage/handling/waste disposal, create POs/PRs for lab supplies, and maintain inventories of consumables and chemicals.
Arrange calibrations and preventive maintenance of instruments.
Assist TS&Ds with packaging outgoing samples and arranging shipments.
Participate in workgroup meetings to address safety, process improvement, problem solving, and other topics.
Participate in routine safety checks and lab auditing.
Qualifications
Diploma in Science / Chemistry / Engineering or related discipline.
At least 2 years of working experience in a chemical lab is desirable; Dow on‐the‐job training provided. Experience with analytical equipment is advantageous; fresh graduates with strong qualifications may be considered.
Good command of English (spoken and written).
Basic Microsoft Office knowledge (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). SAP experience is a plus.
