Job Description:

As a key member of our leadership team, you will oversee the procurement and distribution of fresh fruit products across Hong Kong and China. Your expertise in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and logistics will be instrumental in driving quality, cost-efficiency, and supply reliability in the region.

The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of regional import/export regulations and logistics. A proven track record in leading cross-functional teams, fostering a results-driven culture, and collaborating with stakeholders to achieve business objectives is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management:
    • Develop and execute sourcing strategies to secure premium fruit products from China and Hong Kong.
    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and growers.
    • Lead negotiations to achieve favorable terms and ensure product quality standards.
  • Supply Chain & Logistics Oversight:
    • Design and implement efficient distribution channels to deliver products timely and cost-effectively.
    • Oversee logistics, including freight, customs clearance, warehousing, and inventory management.
    • Monitor and improve supply chain performance metrics.
  • Market & Industry Analysis:
    • Conduct market intelligence to identify new sourcing opportunities, pricing trends, and innovative distribution methods.
    • Stay ahead of regional import/export regulations affecting fruit trade.
  • Travel & On-Ground Leadership:
    • Lead on-site visits to farms, suppliers, and logistics hubs in China and Hong Kong.
    • Manage on-ground teams and coordinate with local partners to ensure compliance and quality standards.
  • Team Leadership & Collaboration:
    • Supervise procurement and logistics teams, fostering a results-driven culture.
    • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product development teams to align supply chain strategies with business goals.

Qualifications & Skills Requirements:

  • Proven leadership experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management within the fresh produce sector, especially in China and Hong Kong.
  • Extensive knowledge of regional import/export regulations and logistics.
  • Strong strategic thinking and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Ability to travel frequently and independently manage on-site operations.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in Mandarin or Cantonese is highly preferred.

Additional Details:

  • Regular trips to Hong Kong and China; flexibility required.
  • SGD 7,000 - SGD 12,000/month, depending on experience.
