Job Overview

This is a pivotal leadership role in the fresh fruit supply chain industry. We are seeking an accomplished professional to oversee the procurement and distribution of premium fruit products across Hong Kong and China.

  • Key Responsibilities:

    • Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management:

      Develop and execute sourcing strategies to secure high-quality fruit products from China and Hong Kong. Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and growers. Lead negotiations to achieve favorable terms and ensure product quality standards.

    • Supply Chain & Logistics Oversight:

      Design and implement efficient distribution channels to deliver products timely and cost-effectively. Oversee logistics, including freight, customs clearance, warehousing, and inventory management. Monitor and improve supply chain performance metrics.

    • Market & Industry Analysis:

      Conduct market intelligence to identify new sourcing opportunities, pricing trends, and innovative distribution methods. Stay ahead of regional import/export regulations affecting fruit trade.

    • Travel & On-Ground Leadership:

      Lead on-site visits to farms, suppliers, and logistics hubs in China and Hong Kong. Manage on-ground teams and coordinate with local partners to ensure compliance and quality standards.

    • Team Leadership & Collaboration:

      Supervise procurement and logistics teams, fostering a results-driven culture. Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product development teams to align supply chain strategies with business goals.

  • Qualifications & Skills Requirements:

    The ideal candidate will have proven leadership experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management within the fresh produce sector, especially in China and Hong Kong. They must possess extensive knowledge of regional import/export regulations and logistics. Strong strategic thinking and negotiation skills are essential, along with excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management capabilities. Fluency in English is required, and proficiency in Mandarin or Cantonese is highly preferred.
