Our client, a leading global bank, is hiring a
Head of Compliance
to lead the regulatory and compliance function for its operations in Indonesia. This is a senior leadership role with strong visibility across the bank's global and regional governance structure, responsible for ensuring local regulatory adherence and acting as a trusted advisor to the business.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the Compliance function in Indonesia, ensuring full adherence to local regulatory requirements and alignment with global compliance standards
Provide strategic regulatory guidance to senior management and business heads across all banking products and services
Manage relationships with the Financial Services Authority (OJK), Bank Indonesia, and other relevant regulatory bodies
Oversee the execution of compliance monitoring, AML/CFT programs, and internal control frameworks
Represent Compliance in internal committees and governance forums, and act as a key point of contact with global compliance teams
Build and develop a high-performing compliance team, fostering a strong culture of integrity and control
Requirements
Minimum 15 years of relevant compliance experience in global or regional banks, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
Strong understanding of Indonesia's banking regulations, OJK requirements, and global compliance best practices
Proven experience managing regulatory inspections, enforcement matters, and advisory for complex banking products
Track record in leading teams and influencing senior stakeholders across local and regional levels
Excellent judgement, integrity, and communication skills
Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and English is essential, as the role requires regular liaison with local stakeholders
