The Role We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Merchandising Manager for a 3-month contract. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to regional category strategy and play a key part in shaping the beauty landscape across Asia. You will support senior leadership in driving merchandising excellence, from global brand management to incubating emerging beauty brands. Key Responsibilities Category Strategy & Execution: Support the Asia Merchandising Director in developing and implementing category strategies for the region, ensuring alignment with global objectives while addressing regional requirements Global Brand Management: Collaborate with international brands to ensure smooth operational execution across Asian markets, addressing logistical and market-specific challenges Brand Sourcing & Incubation: Assist in sourcing, evaluating, and incubating emerging Asian beauty brands to enhance product assortment and drive innovation Business Analytics: Conduct deep-dive analysis on category performance to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement across markets Budget Management: Support oversight of the merchandising budget, ensuring responsible allocation and tracking of investments Strategic Support: Assist senior leadership in preparing for strategic meetings, including data analysis, presentation preparation, and insights development Product Planning: Support the development of product development and marketing calendars aligned with market trends and consumer preferences Working Hours Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 6:00pm Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field Minimum 6 years of experience in merchandising, buying, brand sourcing, or category management, preferably within beauty or retail Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex data and develop actionable insights Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to influence stakeholders at all levels Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities Fluency in English required; proficiency in an Asian language is advantageous for regional collaboration This position offers the opportunity to work with a prestigious beauty retailer and gain valuable regional experience.
