DESCRIPTION The Senior Interface and Development Manager will oversee the coordination of all interfaces and the management of risks across various stakeholders, subcontractors, and project teams. This role ensures that potential technical, commercial, and operational risks are effectively managed, and that seamless communication and collaboration among the stakeholders are maintained throughout the project's lifecycle.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Interface Management: Act as the main focal point for all project interfaces between the project team, subcontractors, suppliers, and all external stakeholders Ensure clear and timely communication between all parties, ensuring all interface-related issues are documented and resolved efficiently, and manage Interface management plan and the related deliverables. Oversee the integration of various technical and system interfaces (electrical, mechanical, control systems, etc.) to ensure seamless functionality of the offshore substation. Manage relationships with key stakeholders, subcontractors, regulatory agencies, consultants, and other external parties, ensuring alignment with project goals and requirements. Manage changes to the project scope and/or technical interfaces, ensuring proper documentation, risk assessments, and approvals for modifications with management of Change Management Plan. Risk Management: Identify and assess potential risks to the project, including technical, commercial, schedule, environmental, and schedule risks in cooperation with project teams. Perform qualitative and quantitative risk analysis to determine the likelihood, impact, and priority of identified risks. Use risk management tools like Monte Carlo simulations, FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis), risk matrices, and schedule risk management tool. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies, including contingency plans for high-priority risks. Collaborate with relevant teams to minimize the impact of risks on the project. Continuously monitor project risks, ensuring that mitigation actions are effective. Report on risk status regularly to Project Manager, updating on risk and opportunity registers about new risks, and closed issues. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with project team (engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams) to identify and resolve interface issues and risks across all stages of the project. Manage the project schedule and budget by addressing interface delays and risk-related cost escalations. Provide training and raise awareness on interface and risk management processes within the project team, ensuring all team members understand their roles and responsibilities in managing these aspects. Comply with HSE requirements: Environmental Aspects & Impacts Assessment. OHS Hazardous & Risk Assessment. Follow HSE Regulations. REQUIREMENTS Education Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Project Management, Risk Management, or a related field. A Master's or certification commensurate with above engineering is a plus. Experience Minimum 3-5 years of experience in interface management, ideally within offshore energy, oil & gas, or offshore wind projects. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in risk management, with a focus on large infrastructure or energy projects, particularly offshore substations, offshore wind farms, or related sectors. Previous experience in offshore substations or offshore wind projects is highly desirable. Qualifications In-depth understanding of offshore substation design, electrical systems, mechanical systems, grid integration, and offshore operations. Strong knowledge of risk management principles, methodologies (e.g., FMEA, Monte Carlo), and industry standards (ISO 31000 and so on). Familiarity with project management software (MS software) and experience working with large, multidisciplinary teams. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Strong problem-solving skills to address complex interface and risk management challenges, balancing technical, operational, and commercial factors. Ability to lead cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment on project goals and risk management objectives. PMI-RMP (Risk Management Professional) or other project management certifications is highly desirable.
