Organisation Context The Airspace Mobility Solutions (AMS) business, part of the Global Business Unit Land and Air Systems, is providing leading‑edge Air Traffic Management (ATM), Unmanned Traffic Management (UTM), Security and Digital Aviation solutions for the Commercial and Defence sectors. The AMS business manages 11% of the world’s airspace and with revenues of over 500 million Euros worldwide, is the global market leader in airspace management solutions. In Singapore, the business focus is the delivery and support of two key ATM solutions including TopSKY‑ATC(HE) and LORADS‑III. Role Description This role will initially support the TopSKY‑ATC (HE) product. The Senior Solution Architect is a key role to define and deliver a state‑of‑the‑art Air Traffic Solution. The role is responsible for defining, stabilising and maintaining the solution architecture for bids and projects for all lifecycle phases. Responsibilities Define and propose innovative technical solutions that meet customer requirements and are compliant with the business’ product/system technical strategy. Analyse architectural and technical choices to ensure the best trade‑off between customer requirements, technical solutions, cost and risk. Ensure the solution architecture is optimised to satisfy the product requirements, including: Identifying key architectural drivers. Exploring the solution space to define a set of alternate candidate architectural concepts, performing related trade‑offs, ensuring all design alternatives are recorded and decisions justified. Performing early validation of the architecture, including modelling and proof‑of‑concept activities to de‑risk. Develop Architectural Viewpoints to: Define the system breakdown. Lead interface definition and arbitrate technically between the various contributors (internal or external). Describe the system behaviour through functional flows, identifying dependencies between system components. Specify Technical Performance Measurements (TPMs) and support their validation throughout the project lifecycle. Document architecture in required artefacts (e.g., Product Breakdown Structure and System of System Design Documentation). Stabilise and maintain the solution architecture throughout its lifecycle in cooperation with the Project Design Authority (PDA) and the Engineering Delivery Manager (EDM). Support the PDA and EDM in the approval of the main engineering reviews and deliverables. Review key subsystems including Infrastructure, Platform and Security artefacts, ensuring that the constraints imposed by the system requirements are understood and met. Ensure the defined architecture meets requirements, considering: Performance, Safety, Security, Human Factors, ILS, Contractual legislation and regulations, Environmental/HSE requirements and standards. Contribute to the development of Architecture Policies, Processes and Procedures to ensure best practice. Provide mentoring and support to all personnel involved in architecture activities. Qualifications Knowledge, Skills & Experience Degree in Engineering, IT or related discipline. Essential Experience 5+ years experience in similar positions on projects delivering complex software‑centric real‑time systems. Strong experience in the ATM Domain and Air Traffic Management standards (e.g., ICAO, Eurocontrol). Demonstrated experience in the design of infrastructure and network architectures. Demonstrated experience in the design of secure solution architectures inline with security standards and policies. Experience with collective decisions and conflict resolutions. Capability to manage various stakeholders having different objectives. Proven capability to work in a multi‑cultural environment and with a variety of international customers. Aptitude to work effectively in a multi‑disciplinary integrated team environment. A positive attitude combined with excellent interpersonal and motivational skills. Sound judgement and independent decision‑making capability where necessary. Excellent written and oral communication skills in English. Desirable Experience in Modelling Tools (e.g., Capella, Enterprise Architect). Experience in System Engineering tools (e.g., DOORs, Jira). Experience in working in a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
