Job Description The Institute of Policy Studies (IPS) is a policy research think tank within the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at the National University of Singapore. IPS is seeking a Field Executive for its Social Lab department, on a yearly renewable contract. This role supports the Field Manager in executing fieldwork duties for research projects and overseeing a team of interviewers to ensure the collection of high‐quality and timely data through face‐to‐face, door‐to‐door, and computer‐assisted telephone interviews using structured questionnaires. Key responsibilities include: Assist the Field Manager with project setup and planning; Coordinate and oversee fieldwork activities to ensure smooth execution; Recruit, train, and supervise field interviewers to meet project timelines and quality standards; Brief and supervise interviewers on fieldwork assignments; Monitor and ensure the accuracy and quality of collected data; Manage project resources efficiently to achieve timely completion of fieldwork; Verify data accuracy and acceptability before processing payments to interviewers and/or recruiters. Qualifications Minimum of a Degree or its equivalent; Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a positive and proactive attitude; Demonstrated ability in team motivation, supervision and leadership; Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines; Willingness to travel for field supervision and coordination; Prior experience in fieldwork operations or data collection management will be an advantage; Proficiency in basic Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint); Strong command of English with proficiency in at least one additional language - Chinese, Malay, or Tamil.
