Maintenance Engineer

Job Description Participate in standby duty rotations and respond promptly to emergency chiller breakdown calls during assigned shifts. Lead commissioning processes for new chiller systems, ensuring installations are completed to specification and function correctly. Strictly adhere to all safety protocols while conducting fieldwork; conduct safety briefings to clarify responsibilities for all involved parties. Deliver excellent customer service by responding to client concerns, offering operational guidance, and promoting best maintenance practices. Travel regularly to client sites and perform duties in varying environmental conditions, including outdoor and field-based settings. Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control system malfunctions to restore optimal chiller performance. Perform scheduled maintenance and inspections to uphold efficiency, minimize downtime, and extend equipment lifespan. Encourage a team-based problem-solving approach with contractors to enhance workflow and project outcomes. Educate clients on routine maintenance procedures and efficient system operation to improve longevity and performance. Job Requirements Minimally Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or equivalent field). Proven hands-on experience (at least 3 years) in chiller maintenance, commissioning, or a related HVAC role. Solid knowledge of HVAC systems, chiller operations, and electrical control systems. Completion of Building Construction Supervisor Safety Courses (BCSS or equivalent certification). High attention to detail and strong analytical skills for troubleshooting and problem-solving.
