What the role is: You will work in the Vector Biology & Control Division of the Environmental Health Institute, and be part of Project Wolbachia – Singapore, an innovative project that aims to reduce the risk of dengue in Singapore. You will be working in the mosquito production facility. What you will be working on: The successful candidate will: Support the planning and execution of various activities, including large-scale production of male Wolbachia-Aedes mosquitoes Participate in production process improvement and support experiences What we are looking for: Requirements: Minimum a Diploma in Life Sciences, Engineering or related disciplines Able to systematically perform routine workflow correctly with an eye for details Able to handle mosquitoes and related husbandry Able to work staggered hours, including after office-hours, weekends and public holidays Able to work independently and as a team in a fast-paced working environment Physically fit to perform manual workGood interpersonal and communication skills Experience working in a laboratory or insectary setting will be advantageous Applicants will be updated on the status of their applications within 4 weeks of the closing date of this job posting.
