Job Overview
The Senior Commercial Project Manager will oversee the commercial aspects of projects, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, margin achievement, and positive cash profiles. This role requires strong leadership skills, commercial acumen, and the ability to manage risk.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the project commercial team in achieving project margins and maintaining a positive cash profile.
- Develop and implement effective commercial strategies, including tender documentation and contract management.
- Ensure timely procurement and management of the supply chain, including subcontractors, suppliers, and consultant services.
- Maintain accurate and transparent financial reporting, forecasting, and risk management.
- Foster strong relationships with clients, consultants, and partners.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or Building Science.
- At least 10 years' experience in a similar role in the construction industry.
- Familiarity with contract/construction law, including tender requirements, contract conditions, methods of contracting, value contract works, and claims experience.
- Meticulous, strong numeracy skills, and excellent business acumen.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
