Project Scheduler Role

\

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project.

\
  • Developing and updating Integrated Master Schedules (IMS).
  • Breaking down projects into work packages and defining dependencies, milestones, and critical paths.
  • Supporting the Project Control Manager and Project Manager in aligning schedules with contractual deliverables.

Progress Monitoring and Control

\

Monitoring progress against baseline schedules and identifying deviations.

\
  • Tracking daily, weekly, and monthly progress against baseline schedules.
  • Collecting input from engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and logistics teams for schedule updates.
  • Identifying schedule deviations and proposing recovery or mitigation actions.

Resource and Look-Ahead Planning

\

Ensuring resource availability aligns with project priorities.

\
  • Preparing manpower histograms, resource allocation charts, and look-ahead schedules.
  • Ensuring resource leveling and availability align with project priorities.
  • Forecasting upcoming requirements (labor, equipment, scaffolding, materials).
\

Interface and Coordination

\

Cordinating with discipline leads and subcontractors to ensure accurate reporting of progress.

  • Assisting Site Manager and Supervisors in preparing short-term plans to meet immediate project objectives.
  • Supporting the integration of subcontractor schedules into the project IMS.

Reporting and Documentation

Producing reports and maintaining historical planning records.

  • Producing weekly and monthly planning reports, including progress curves (S-curves), critical path analysis, and variance reports.
  • Supporting client reporting requirements, including detailed progress presentations.
  • Maintaining historical planning records for benchmarking and lessons learned.

Change and Risk Management

\

Analyzing schedule impacts of changes and variations.

\
  • Analyzing schedule impacts of changes, variations, and claims.
  • Updating the schedule baseline and providing 'what-if' scenarios for management decision-making.
  • Cordinating with Risk Manager/Project Control Manager to include risks and mitigations in the schedule.
\

Handover and Close-Out

\

Prepering final as-built schedules and planning documentation.

\
  • Prepering final as-built schedules and planning documentation for project close-out.
  • Contributing to lessons learned and continuous improvement of planning practices.
\

This role requires the ability to translate detailed technical inputs into accurate planning outputs. Proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project is essential.
