We're looking for an APAC FinCrime Product Compliance and Risk Lead to join our growing Product Compliance team in Singapore and be part of our Product Compliance globally. This role is hands-on, a unique opportunity to have an impact on Wise's mission, grow as a product and compliance manager, and help save millions more people money.

Your Mission:

1LoD FinCrime Risk Monitoring

  • Further develop the FinCrime monitoring tailored to Wise's products, customer segments, market presence, aligning with regulatory expectations and allowing to identify risk and efficiency trends.
  • Perform root cause analyses on risk and efficiency trends, and recommend control or efficiency improvements, and ensure implementation, that align with regulations, regulator expectations and are customer-centric.
  • Support the team in performing the quarterly entity FinCrime Risk Assessments

FinCrime Control implementation & uplift

  • Identify areas where a control uplift is required, prioritise accordingly and take a strategic approach across the APAC markets
  • Assess the FinCrime activities at the Wise group level, such as AML/CTF control developments, and identify impact on- or ensure appropriateness for the Wise APAC licenses
  • Where needed, provide guidance to the team on build of FinCrime controls in case of new product or market launches in APAC

FinCrime issues management

  • Ensure FinCrime issues are tracked for the APAC entities are well-documented in Wise's GRC tool and kept up-to-date
  • Ensure issues are accurately prioritized, resolved efficiently, and followed up on until closure. Provide pragmatic advice to product teams to guide them effectively in resolving these.
  • Provide support/guidance to other FinCrime PCs in the team in case they're facing challenges with remediating issues

FinCrime Reporting

  • Present monitoring outcomes and updates to relevant committees on both APAC and group level, including executive management, the regulator, and the Board, as appropriate.
  • Provide detailed updates on remediation programs or issue resolution statuses to keep leadership informed and enable appropriate decision-making.

Audit and regulatory inquiries

  • Support on regulatory inquiries on Wise's FinCrime framework in general, conducting deep-dives on specific cases and delivering high-quality responses.
  • Explain the functionality of controls and the overall FinCrime framework (strategy) in a manner that stands up to regulatory scrutiny.
  • Support on strategically steering large remediation efforts in APAC, when relevant.
