We are seeking an experienced FinCrime Product Compliance and Risk Lead to drive growth as a product and compliance manager, and help save millions more people money.

Key Responsibilities:
  • 1LoD FinCrime Risk Monitoring: Develop and implement FinCrime monitoring tailored to Wise's products, customer segments, and market presence, aligning with regulatory expectations and identifying risk and efficiency trends.
  • Perform root cause analyses: Analyze risk and efficiency trends, recommend control or efficiency improvements, ensure implementation, and align with regulations, regulator expectations, and customer-centric principles.
  • Support quarterly entity FinCrime Risk Assessments: Collaborate with the team to perform quarterly entity FinCrime Risk Assessments.
  • FinCrime Control implementation & uplift: Identify areas requiring control uplift, prioritize accordingly, and take a strategic approach across APAC markets.
  • Assess FinCrime activities: Evaluate FinCrime activities at the Wise group level, assess their impact, and ensure appropriateness for Wise APAC licenses.
  • Provide guidance: Offer guidance to the team on building FinCrime controls for new product or market launches in APAC.
  • FinCrime issues management: Ensure FinCrime issues are tracked, well-documented in Wise's GRC tool, and up-to-date.
  • Resolve issues efficiently: Prioritize, resolve, and follow up on FinCrime issues until closure, providing pragmatic advice to product teams.
  • Support team members: Offer support and guidance to other FinCrime PCs in the team facing challenges with remediating issues.
  • FinCrime Reporting: Present monitoring outcomes and updates to relevant committees, including executive management, regulators, and the Board.
  • Provide detailed updates: Share detailed updates on remediation programs or issue resolution statuses to keep leadership informed and enable decision-making.
  • Audit and regulatory inquiries: Support regulatory inquiries, conduct deep-dives on specific cases, and deliver high-quality responses.
  • Explain controls and framework: Explain the functionality of controls and the overall FinCrime framework (strategy) in a manner that stands up to regulatory scrutiny.
  • Steer remediation efforts: Support strategically steering large remediation efforts in APAC when relevant.
