Cardiovascular Nurse Specialist
Job Overview:
As a skilled Cardiovascular Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the cardiovascular suite and assisting with interventional procedures. You will ensure compliance with radiology safety policies and procedures to safeguard patients and others.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individual patient care using the nursing process approach in the Closed Monitoring Unit (CMU).
- Prepare patients for procedures by administering pre-medications, shaving necessary sites, and monitoring patients closely after procedures in the CMU.
- Assist with procedures and prepare instrument trolleys required for various interventions.
- Ensure patient safety when administering contrast media, considering contraindications and patient history.
- Respond to emergency situations efficiently and calmly, such as Code Blue scenarios.
Requirements:
- Degree/Diploma in Nursing
- Post-Basic Specialty Certificate/Advanced Diploma in Nursing
- Singapore Nursing Board Practicing Certificate for Registered Nurse
- At least 2-5 years of clinical experience
- A minimum of 1 year experience in Cardiology or Radiology interventional procedures or equivalent
- 5-day work week (Mondays to Fridays, no overnight shift but with extended cases, on-call and callback)
