Roles and Responsibilities

  • Oversee a team of technical supervisors on-site to ensure that all site activities comply with regulations and client requirements.
  • Report directly to the Chief and Senior Quality Professional, work closely with regulatory authorities and contractors to provide supervision on-site, resolve site issues, and ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Be competent in carrying out supervision of structural works by identifying non-compliance of contractor's works on-site. The appointed person must have a strong ability to interpret drawings and contract documents related to the works to be carried.
  • Appointed person possesses a complete understanding of local requirements, especially to comply with BCA's criteria for buildability and safety assurance systems.
  • Carry out regular site checks on builders to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in accordance with MOM.
  • Manage site supervisors with respect to C&S engineering works, architectural, and M&E engineering works.
  • Attend site progress meetings, variation meetings, and coordination meetings. Interpret drawings and contract documents related to the works to be carried.

Job Requirements

  • Hold a recognized degree in Civil or Structural Engineering acceptable for registration with the Professional Engineers Board, Singapore.
  • Accredited with IES/ACES with valid Resident Engineer Practicing Certificate.
  • Minimum 8 years' experience preferably in steel and precast building construction.
  • Familiar with local Regulations/Codes for Civil and Structural related to building projects.
  • Experience in condominium project management.
  • Good team player with experience in leading a team of Resident Technical Officers.
  • Carry out regular site checks on builders to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in accordance with MOM.
  • Supervise and manage C&S and Architecture works by identifying any non-compliance of contractor's works on-site.
  • Strong ability to interpret drawings and contract documents related to the works to be carried.
  • Supervise and manage site supervisors with respect to C&S and Architecture Works.
  • Ability to resolve site and technical issues, prepare and document detailed site progress reports.
