Position: Food & Beverage Management Trainee at Raffles Hotels & Resorts. Job Description As part of Raffles Hotel Singapore's Leadership Development Programme, the Food and Beverage Management Trainee will gain practical experience through a structured 18‐month programme. The rotation will span various restaurant concepts and support departments, customised based on operations and trainee expectations. The trainee may also participate in special projects assigned by F&B leaders and receive mentorship from a senior hotel leader. Primary Responsibilities Food & Beverage Service Provide excellent service at all times to guests, following established hotel SOPs. Maintain professional appearance and comply with hotel grooming standards. Greet and bid farewell to guests and colleagues courteously. Assist guests and colleagues efficiently and professionally. Safeguard resident and guest belongings in restaurants or bars. Possess extensive knowledge of the food & beverage menu, including liquors and cocktails. Undertake F&B special projects as directed by leaders or mentors. Provide a Leading and Consistent Guest Experience Promote sales through direct guest interaction. Continuously gather guest feedback during operations to ensure satisfaction. Handle minor complaints and report to managers for follow‐up. Build strong relationships with local guests, fostering loyalty. Maintain confidentiality and discretion regarding guests, colleagues, and operations. Management and Leadership Act as a role model for F&B associates. Display proactive and innovative thinking with deep F&B and market knowledge. Observe colleagues' performance, grooming, punctuality, and report to managers. Ensure a high level of safety and security for guests and colleagues. Check daily opening and closing duties. Training, Learning and Development Complete all components of the Raffles Leadership Development programme. Conduct regular on‐the‐job training for colleagues to develop skills and knowledge. Assist in recording and submitting monthly on‐the‐job training hours to the F&B Office before the 15th of each month. Guide departmental orientation for new hires. Ensure colleagues are aware of hotel rules, regulations, fire safety, emergency procedures and hygiene. Other Responsibilities Perform any additional duties assigned by the manager. Ensure compliance with NEA rules and regulations. Adopt a Heartist approach, making guests and colleagues feel welcome, heart‐warm, incredible, and belonging. Align service standards and individual performance with Accor values (Guest Passion, Trust, Sustainable Performance, Spirit of Conquest, Innovation and Respect). Contribute to the hotel's Corporate Social Responsibility efforts. Qualifications Candidate Profile Degree or Diploma in hospitality or a related field. Experience in food & beverage is an advantage. Competencies Fluent in oral and written English. Ability to speak other languages and basic understanding of local languages. Strong communication, presentation, and influencing skills. Team‐player with interpersonal skills across cultures and all levels. Service‐oriented, detail‐focused, and appreciative of building a strong service culture. Driven, proactive, and able to work independently in a dynamic environment. Analytical with organized and detail‐mindful skills. Flexible and adaptable to changing work environments. Integrity, loyalty, and ability to maintain confidentiality. Approachable and performs well under pressure. Self‐motivated with good initiative. Proficient in computer and property management system skills.
