What's the job?
As Head of Compliance, Asia for Zurich Cover-More, you'll lead the regional compliance strategy across our travel insurance and assistance businesses in Asia. This is a senior leadership role responsible for ensuring regulatory alignment, embedding Zurich Cover-More Compliance frameworks, and fostering a strong culture of integrity and accountability across diverse markets.

• You will oversee the implementation of Zurich Group Compliance frameworks across Asia business ensuring alignment with global standards and local regulatory requirements. In addition, you will have Compliance oversight and act as main Compliance contact for our global service centre unit in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia).
• You will lead regional compliance risk assessments, identifying and managing risks through effective controls, training, and governance and play a key role in terms of Compliance interaction with other Zurich Businesses in the region that support the Zurich Cover-More travel business.
• You will enhance, maintain and coordinate the compliance control environment across multiple jurisdictions, including Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, China, and others.
• You will support the business in meeting obligations under local financial services regulations, consumer protection laws, and underwriter requirements as well as outsourcing regulations.
• You will design and execute the regional compliance assurance plan, including monitoring, testing, and reporting.
• You will assess and manage compliance incidents and breaches, ensuring timely remediation and escalation.
• You will advise the business on conduct risks related to products, distribution agreements, and marketing practices.
• You will prepare and present compliance reporting to local boards, governance bodies, and Zurich Cover-More senior management.
• You will stay ahead of regulatory developments and industry trends across the region.
• You will collaborate with Legal, Risk, Audit, and other assurance functions to ensure an integrated approach to governance and oversight.
  

What are we looking for?
We're looking for a strategic compliance leader with deep regional expertise and a passion for governance.

• You will bring 10+ years of experience in financial services and regulatory compliance across Asia, ideally with a strong understanding of the insurance and more specifically travel insurance industry.
• You will have familiarity with regulatory environments in key markets such as Singapore, Malaysia, China, Hong Kong and others.
• You will hold a degree in law, business, economics, or a related field; relevant certifications are highly desirable.
• You will demonstrate strong analytical skills and the ability to deliver clear, actionable insights.
• You will be an excellent communicator, able to engage and influence stakeholders across cultures and seniority levels.
• You will have experience working in complex, matrixed organizations and managing cross-border compliance initiatives.
• You will bring a collaborative mindset, high integrity, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
