Job Opportunity: Senior Culinary Leader

Job Summary:

The role of Senior Culinary Leader involves providing guidance and oversight to kitchen staff, collaborating on menu development and food preparation, managing inventory levels, and ensuring adherence to quality and presentation standards.

  • Direct the work of cooks, chefs, and other kitchen personnel, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and according to established standards.
  • Train new kitchen staff in culinary techniques, food safety, and restaurant protocols.
  • Assign duties to kitchen staff, facilitating a smooth workflow and efficient food preparation during services.
  • Maintain order and discipline among kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to kitchen rules and regulations.
  • Assist the Head Chef in developing new dishes, planning menus, and creating daily specials.
  • Prepare ingredients, cook dishes according to recipes, and ensure food quality and presentation meet the restaurant's standards.
  • Monitor inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed, and manage food costs to minimize waste and maximize profitability.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized workstation and kitchen equipment.
  • Oversee kitchen opening, closing, and other duties as directed by the Head Chef.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 8 years of professional chef experience.
  • Effectively manage kitchen staff, motivate them, and assign duties fairly.
  • Ensure health and safety standards are consistently maintained.
  • Ability to multitask and work quickly under pressure.
  • Attention to detail is crucial during cooking, plating, and improving visual appeal of dishes to enhance customer satisfaction.
