Pricing & Procurement Manager - Seafreight, APAC (based in Singapore)

Job Summary

As our Regional Pricing & Procurement Manager – Seafreight, you will play a key role in building a market-leading sea freight product through strategic procurement, strong carrier relationships, and commercial insight. Based in Singapore, you will act as the key regional point of contact for carrier negotiations, allocation management, and pricing & procurement strategies, ensuring competitiveness and flexibility for our export business across APAC and supporting our growth ambitions in the region. The role reports to the Regional Director for Seafreight in APAC.

Your Role

• Develop and execute competitive sea freight procurement strategies.
• Negotiate rates, contracts, and credit terms with carriers.
• Secure space through allocation and NAC/flexible basket agreements.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with carrier HQs and regional offices.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and joint business planning.
• Align procurement with commercial and product strategies across countries in the APAC region and within the SEA Global Community.
• Support growth of the sea freight product through market insights and carrier cooperation.
• Provide expert input on pricing for tenders and large customer quotes.
• Ensure competitiveness through strategic procurement input.
• Deliver monthly reports on volumes, carrier commitments, and procurement KPIs.
• Analyze market, carrier, and competitor trends to inform procurement strategy.
• Work closely with product, sales, and office teams to ensure aligned and cost-effective procurement.
• Share procurement insights and business intelligence internally.

Your Background

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in the freight forwarding or shipping industry, with a strong focus on sea freight pricing & procurement.
• Proven track record in carrier negotiations and managing strategic partnerships.
• Strong commercial acumen and deep understanding of industry dynamics.
• Skilled in sourcing, cost optimization, and reading market trends.
• Strong in data analysis, reporting, and translating insights into action.
• Excellent interpersonal and networking skills – able to build trust-based relationships internally and externally.
• Structured, results-driven, and quality-oriented.
• Collaborative team player with high energy and a positive attitude.
