PHD Singapore has an exciting opportunity for a talented media marketplace expert as we roll out a new global digital operating model for one of our prestige PHD Worldwide clients', Diageo.
The Role:
The Marketplace Manager (APAC) will be an agent for change with respect to unlocking the digital marketplace opportunity for Diageo in the APAC region. Extracting new value from the digital marketplace across Diageo's proven and potential partners. Working in collaboration with the Global Marketplace Director based in London and APAC regional media operation team based in Singapore this individual will own the regionalisation of the global digital strategy. Scaling a diverse media opportunity and thus unlocking the efficiency opportunity for all markets in the region.
Pushing forwards the evolution of Diageo's Trusted Marketplace in APAC creating a more regional nuanced program. This individual will drive priority market expansion projects. Including the following:
Delivering and owning the inventory expansion methodology for programmatic site lists. Ensuring local policy compliance for the alcohol category and globally approved methodology that unlocks scalability and Is brand safe.
Driving channel specific (E.g. Audio, CTV, PR-OOH, etc) sprints to grow the inventory opportunity in new formats.
Building a close working relationship with Diageo regional and local teams for approvals
Working with Diageo's measurement suite (e.g Attribution) to quantifying the impact of marketplace expansion.
Build a strong working partnership with technology and data partners (e.g Doubleverify, ComScore, The Trade Desk, Pubmatic, META) to evolve the expansion ambitions. Helping shape the operational setup to execute for each market.
Mange the tracking and reporting for market available reach targets in the APAC region
Support Diageo's progressive marketplace agenda. Unlocking new inventory to support quality journalism targeted to underrepresented voices (bespoke to each market).
The right candidate will:
Have an opinion on the APAC media market and Diageo's positioning within it
An expert in APAC media landscape, they will develop an in-depth knowledge of the alcohol ad policies, Diageo's brand suitability guidelines.
Programmatic supply expertise
Whilst this role will not involve activating campaigns in platforms, having the experience in doing so at scale is important to succeed in building trust with the local agency activation teams. A strong understanding of the programmatic supply chain is highly advantageous.
Be highly organised with attention to detail.
Diageo have extremely high standards for alcohol advertising regulations, media supply chain transparency, brand suitability and best practice governance. The Marketplace Manager (APAC) is required to manage multiple complex workstreams simultaneously, whilst having an eye for detail.
Be a natural collaborator and leader
Work and collaborate with internal teams (Global marketplace community, local markets and regional operations) as well as external (client, consultants, contractors, partners). You will need to liaise with different teams in different parts of the world to make this role work.
