Job Description

This role involves the creation of new fragrances, ensuring they meet project specifications and deadlines. Perfumers will refine existing fragrance formulas to align with client briefs, internal quality standards, or address raw material shortages.

Sourcing and proposing new raw materials is also a key responsibility. Perfumers will collaborate with sales and marketing teams during customer visits, providing expert support in presentations and technical discussions.

They will lend their expertise to evaluation panels for new fragrances and raw materials, and assist in troubleshooting and resolving quality control issues as they arise. Additionally, perfumers may be required to support the training and development of other staff members when needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 years experience in the fragrance industry, with expertise in fragrance innovation.
  • Experience in consumer fragrances, including home care, personal care, and air care.
  • The ability to translate complex GCMS data into market-ready fragrance formulas.
  • A refined sense of smell for precise scent evaluation, supported by a technical knowledge base.
  • Presentation abilities to articulate creative ideas and technical details clearly to colleagues and clients.
  • Experience in a dynamic fragrance development environment.
  • International exposure or demonstrated experience operating within international markets is a preferred qualification.
