
Assistant Director, Lead Product Manager

As an Assistant Director (Lead Product Manager), you will be part of the Digital Translation Team developing digital products applicable for the maritime industry. You will provide both strategic and operational oversight to a cross-functional team to deliver digital products for the maritime sector. You will also lead stakeholder engagement, ensure project alignment with broader strategic objectives, and be responsible for project reporting and performance tracking.
Key Responsibilities
•Lead, mentor, and manage a multi-disciplinary team to deliver product outcomes aligned with strategic goals.
•Oversee resource allocation, performance management, and team development.
•Drive the strategic planning, roadmap development, and execution of digital products and implementations
•Continually refine the product vision, business operating model, and pricing strategy in collaboration with key stakeholders.
•Analyse user needs, market trends, and product performance to inform redesigns and enhancements.
•Build strong relationships and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, industry partners, and research institutions.
•Ensure alignment with project goals, compliance standards, and reporting requirements.
•Prepare and present regular project and product performance reports to senior leadership
•Prioritise product backlogs and manage trade-offs between customer experience, business impact, and technical constraints.
•Ensure agile delivery processes are followed, working closely with cross-functional team
Qualifications & Skills
•Background in Computer Science, Information Systems, Infocomm Technology, Engineering, or related disciplines.
•At least 10 years of relevant experience, with proven track record in product management, preferably in the digital or maritime domains.
•Prior experience in leading teams or managing multi-disciplinary groups.
•Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience in cross-agency or public-private sector collaborations.
•Familiarity with Unity, GIS Systems, or similar technologies is a plus.
•Certification in Product Management or Agile methodologies is an advantage.
•Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and negotiation skills.
•Ability to work independently and manage multiple concurrent projects.
•Passionate about digital innovation and applying emerging technologies to solve real-world problems.
