Position Overview The Head of Medical Affairs is the senior clinical leader responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality, safe, and patient‑centred medical care across the organization. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Head of Medical Affairs provides strategic leadership to the medical team, ensures clinical governance and regulatory compliance, and drives initiatives that enhance patient outcomes and organizational performance. The incumbent will work closely with the key medical directors in respective practices across Asia. Key Responsibilities Clinical Leadership & Governance Provide leadership and oversight to all medical staff, ensuring high standards of clinical practice. Establish and monitor clinical governance frameworks, protocols, and evidence‑based guidelines. Oversee credentialing, privileging, and performance evaluation of medical professionals. Lead quality improvement, patient safety, and risk management initiatives. Strategic Planning & Development Contribute to the organization’s strategic planning and long‑term clinical goals. Identify opportunities for service expansion, innovation, and medical excellence. Collaborate with senior management to align clinical services with organizational objectives. Drive adoption of new technologies, research, and best practices in healthcare delivery. Regulatory & Compliance Ensure compliance with healthcare laws, regulations, and accreditation standards. Maintain oversight of medical documentation, patient confidentiality, and ethical practices. Act as the key liaison with government bodies, healthcare regulators, and accreditation agencies. Medical Staff Management & Development Recruit, mentor, and retain medical professionals across specialties. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous professional development. Provide training and educational programs to enhance clinical competencies. Manage medical staffing levels to meet patient care and operational needs. Assist in building an independent medical advisory committee that sits above the CEO. Patient Care & Stakeholder Engagement Ensure the highest standards of patient care, safety, and satisfaction. Serve as an advocate for patients, ensuring care is equitable and patient‑centred. Collaborate with nurses, allied health professionals, and administrative teams to deliver integrated care. Represent the medical staff in board meetings, committees, and community engagements. Qualifications & Experience Medical degree (MBBS/MD or equivalent) with necessary medical registration. Specialist qualification and board certification preferred. Minimum of 12–15 years of clinical experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership/medical management role. Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and clinical governance frameworks. Experience in strategic planning, resource management, and organizational leadership. Proven track record of improving patient outcomes, safety, and medical service delivery. Visionary clinical leadership with a patient‑first mindset. Strong decision‑making and problem‑solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to build trust and credibility with medical staff, executives, and stakeholders.
