The Tax Policy directorate formulates tax policies with the view to creating a competitive, equitable, and fiscally resilient tax system.
What you will be working on
As a Tax Policy (TP) officer in MOF, you will formulate and implement tax policies to ensure a pro-growth fiscal system that will expand Singapore's economic space and promote our social objectives. You achieve this by:
Identifying initiatives and processing approvals to facilitate optimal management of tax measures through other government agencies
Engaging and consulting relevant stakeholders in the review and implementation of tax policies
Undertaking benchmarking research/studies, identifying and addressing international tax developments that are expected to have a medium/long-term impact
What we are looking for
Background in Economics/Business/Accountancy would be an advantage
Keen interest in, and passion for public policy work
Strong analytical and quantitative ability with good writing skills
Excellent interpersonal skills to engage both internal and external stakeholders
