Responsibilities Support the implementation of a data governance framework for risk management as part of 1LoD (First Line of Defense) in alignment with enterprise-wide data governance policies (e.g., BCBS 239). Define key data items based on regulatory reporting importance and requirements. Develop and maintain data flow diagrams and a comprehensive data dictionary mapping upstream to downstream systems. Identify and document data lineage across source systems and reporting elements. Standardize definitions of data elements and contribute to data dictionary development. Conduct interviews and collaborate with stakeholders including reporting teams, business users, IT, and external vendors. Perform root cause analysis of data quality issues (e.g., missing values, granularity mismatches) and propose/implement corrective actions. Recommend controls for data validation, reconciliation, and exception handling to ensure data quality. Propose a roadmap to embed and operationalize data flow and data dictionary governance. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or related fields. Minimum 7 years of experience in data governance or data management, preferably within banking or financial services. Strong domain knowledge in risk management and regulatory reporting. Proven ability to perform data analysis and understand data lineage across systems. Excellent logical thinking and structured problem‐solving skills. Effective communication skills to engage with cross‐functional teams (users, IT, vendors). Good communication skill in both English and Japanese (Business‐level proficiency as mandatory) to liaise with Japanese stakeholders and clients. Familiarity with MAS regulatory reporting standards and associated data structures is a plus. Experience in financial data governance initiatives or enterprise data management projects is a plus. Working knowledge of data management tools like Collibra or Alteryx (not necessarily as a developer) is a plus.
