Job Title: Community Development Coordinator
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Community Development Coordinator to lead our outreach and partnership building initiatives across various projects.
The successful candidate will work closely with programme teams to develop responsive engagement strategies that foster strong relationships with residents, volunteers, partners, and community organisations.
This role involves planning, coordinating, and overseeing activities, workshops, and events that promote social cohesion and youth development.
To achieve this, the Community Development Coordinator must possess excellent communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills, as well as be comfortable with public speaking and storytelling.
Core competencies include:
- Strong engagement skills with various age groups
- Comfortable with public speaking, storytelling, and advocacy work
- Strong communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills
- Competent in data management to track programme success rate metrics
Applicants should have a Bachelor's degree in social work, community development, youth work, or related field (or equivalent experience). A minimum of 2 years' experience in community engagement, outreach, or programme management is also essential.
The ideal candidate will have experience in volunteer management and event coordination, flexibility to work evenings and weekends, and preferably, experience in the social sector, particularly with at-risk youth, ex-inmates, or socially disadvantaged communities.
Familiarity with strengths-based and community development approaches is also beneficial.
