Project Architect (Pharmaceutical Plant)

The role of Project Architect is to lead the project team in planning, reviewing design and permitting deliverables. This includes close collaboration with our appointed design firm(s) and stakeholders to ensure that all project requirements are met.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate design reviews with relevant stakeholders and oversee general architectural responsibilities, reporting directly to the Construction Director.
  • Support construction phase by coordinating between project team and design interfacing to ensure tight communication loop and updates.
  • Liaise closely with Structural and M&E Coordinators to issue shop drawings and provide troubleshooting as needed to meet targeted project milestones and timelines.
  • Administer overall technical direction and coordination of all architectural engineering and design work in accordance with Project Execution Plans.
  • Assist in shop drawing review and provide design proposals for cost-effective and operationally usable designs.
  • Participate in tender queries based on Architectural expertise.
  • Coordinate with Permitting and Qualified Persons (QP) for timely delivery of Architectural documents.
  • Draft waivers and identify technical and permitting discrepancies through risk analysis and management.
  • Liaise with architects, design consultants, and contractors on design and technical issues.
  • Oversee documentation and tendering processes.
  • Relate design intent from design firm to relevant stakeholders, acting as the main conduit for coordinating between Design and Construction.
  • Prepare technical specifications compilation to support procurement packages.
  • Support architectural design work in accordance with the Building Control Act.
  • Verify accuracy and timeliness of drawings produced by design firms and contractors to align with the Project Master Program.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture recognized by Board of Architect, Singapore.
  • Minimum 10 years' relevant industry experience in Pharmaceutical/Industrial sectors.
  • Expertise in Local Singapore Permitting Requirements essential.
  • Familiarity with cleanroom architecture and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) areas.
  • Good knowledge of Buildability and Green Mark.
  • Strong familiarity with Singapore Building Codes and Regulations.
  • Technical skills in 3D Design, 2D Drafting software such as Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks.
