The Role
We're looking for a talented Lead Backend Engineer to architect and build the robust infrastructure that powers our AI-driven matching platform. You'll be responsible for creating scalable systems that handle real-time recommendations, user data processing, and seamless AI integration for our mobile app.
What You'll Do

  • Design and develop high-performance APIs using FastAPI
  • Build and optimize PostgreSQL databases for complex user matching algorithms
  • Create scalable microservices architecture using Docker containers
  • Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform
  • Integrate AI/ML models and LLM services into backend systems
  • Develop real-time matching and recommendation engines
  • Implement secure user authentication and data protection systems
  • Build analytics and data pipelines for AI model training
  • Optimize API performance for mobile app responsiveness
  • Collaborate with mobile and AI teams on feature development

What We're Looking For

  • 3-4 years of backend development experience
  • Strong proficiency with FastAPI (or any Python frameworks) and Python ecosystem
  • Solid experience with PostgreSQL database design and optimization
  • Experience deploying and managing applications on Google Cloud Platform
  • Understanding of RESTful API design principles
  • Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience integrating AI/ML models and LLM APIs (OpenAI, Claude, etc.)
  • Experience designing and scaling backend systems for AI-native applications
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (Sentry, Cloud Monitoring)
  • Genuine passion for connecting people and building meaningful relationships
  • Excitement about working in early-stage, high-growth environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
