Discord Moderator Jobs Job Description TikTok Employment Type: Full-Time Work Mode: Onsite Join the TikTok Core Service Team to help develop and maintain critical backend services that power the world's leading short-form video platform. If you are passionate about building highly scalable, globally distributed systems and solving complex backend challenges, this role is for you. The Core Service Team is responsible for TikTok's core backend infrastructure, including content metadata, data distribution, and user interaction systems. The team handles global high-concurrency environments and solves technical challenges involving multi-datacenter deployments and compliance . Develop and maintain large-scale backend services that support TikTok's short video platform Collaborate with teams to address challenges around global data distribution , multi-datacenter environments, and regulatory compliance Research and implement scalable business storage and data placement systems Build general-purpose data services to support large-scale global applications Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering , or a related field 3–5 years of experience in backend development Proficiency in Java, Golang, or Python with strong coding standards Experience with distributed systems and technologies such as MySQL, Redis , and message queues (MQ)Understanding of distributed architecture principles: service-oriented design, asynchronous communication, high availability, and scalability Experience working on high-concurrency, high-traffic backend systems Strong communication and teamwork skills A proactive mindset , positive attitude, and sense of ownership Familiarity with industry-leading distributed storage or general-purpose data platforms is a plus Work on systems that impact billions of users globally Solve cutting-edge technical challenges in high-concurrency environments Be part of a diverse, fast-paced, and mission-driven culture Collaborate across international teams to drive global-scale solutions TikTok's culture emphasizes innovation, learning, and collaboration Diversity & Inclusion TikTok is committed to building an inclusive environment where all employees are respected and empowered.
